Colliery House, Blagdon Terrace ~ Original Watercolour Painting
I did a sketch of this scene whilst on a walk. I also took a photograph just in case I ended up painting it again. I always have good intentions of doing this...and this time I actually did!
I love the warm tones of the brickwork mixed with the softness of the allotment plants. I know that the white house is at the end of Blagdon Terrace, which is two rows of former colliery houses not far from the waggonway. I found out that the brick house was part of the residence of the colliery owner and has since been split into three apartments.
Original painting is 6x7" on 300gsm Bockingford CP NOT paper and is mounted.
Please be aware that this painting is currently at The Emporium in Prudhoe so delivery time may be extended. (5th Nov '26)
