St Mary's Lighthouse in Purple

St Mary's Lighthouse is my most painted subject. This painting came about from a 5 minute sketch I did on a walk with my son in early January 2023. We found some steps down in the rocks and I loved the different angle it gave of the island.

I had been playing around with gouache and experimented with mixing watercolours with this medium. This was my second attempt and I was really pleased with the purple hues I achieved.
