Walk & Sketch Class ~ Sunday 14th June 2026
Couldn't load pickup availability
Now that the days are lighter and getting warmer, it's lovely to be outside rather than being inside. So come and explore the beauty of nature in this Walk & Sketch Class. Breathe in the fresh air as you sketch the great outdoors. An ideal way to relax and get inspired.
Initially these are designed for people who have their own art materials, to encourage you to get outside and start sketching en plein air. Enjoying and absorbing the countryside and the wonderful nature around us.
This introductory class has been reduced in price as a taster session. I want to make these classes work for you so feedback would be great!
We will be walking along the coast at Seaton Sluice. Meeting in the Links Road car park (long, thin one) at 10.30am. It's approx a 1 mile, flat walk to the town. I would anticipate this class to take up to 1.5 hours.
Spaces are limited.
Things to bring:
Paints and palette
Waterproof pen ~ I can provide these
Brush ~ I use a watercolour brush pen but if you're using a normal brush then a small container and a bottle of water will be required
A sketchbook ~ I can provide watercolour paper on a board
A mat to sit on or a small folding stool (optional)
If you'd prefer to bring another, portable medium such as pencils or coloured pencils then please do. This is designed to be more of a guidance class than a tutorial, although I will demonstrate how I do my plein air sketches.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me gilliancrossx.art@gmail.com
