Winter Solstice Sunrise ~ Original Painting

I sketched this scene a few times in my sketchbooks on the winter solstice in 2022 and loved it so much that I decided to make it into a watercolour painting.

I was struggling to like it at first because I loved the pen and watercolour sketch so much but I persevered and I really love the watercolour version. I feel that it's so fresh and light. I have no idea if the reference photo was sunrise or sunset but I feel like it's a sunrise, looking forward to the lighter days ahead.

Original painting approx 12"x9.5" unmounted. Additional cost for having it mounted.
